Enlightra joins the NVIDIA Inception program to accelerate AI optical interconnects
Enlightra has been accepted into the NVIDIA Inception Program, an initiative from NVIDIA supporting startups advancing AI, high-performance computing, and data centre technologies. The program brings together companies developing the core infrastructure required to scale next-generation AI systems. For Enlightra, this aligns directly with our mission: enabling compact, energy-efficient optical interconnects using our integrated silicon nitride comb-laser engines and co-packaged optics platforms.

As GPU clusters grow in size and bandwidth requirements continue to rise, optical I/O is becoming a critical bottleneck. Enlightra’s multi-wavelength comb sources are designed to reduce power, footprint, and complexity compared with traditional discrete laser architectures, helping unlock higher density and more scalable interconnect solutions for AI and cloud deployments.
Through Inception, Enlightra will gain access to technical resources, ecosystem partnerships, and go-to-market support as we move from advanced development into customer engagement and manufacturing readiness.
“We’re excited to collaborate more closely with the NVIDIA ecosystem as AI infrastructure rapidly evolves,” said Enlightra’s leadership team. “This milestone supports our path toward production-grade comb laser engines for co-packaged optics and next-generation optical modules.”
